Enjoying the Creation of the Creator

Romans 1:20 For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So, they are without excuse.

Psalms 19:1-2 The heavens declare the glory of God,and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.

My wife and I had a chance to be up at Hume Lake Christian Camps with our church. The camp is nestled in Kings Canyon National Park. It is breathtakingly beautiful! The majesty of both the ponderosa pines (that smell like vanilla! Yes, I sniff the trees) are incredible and their amazing aroma reminds me of God’s attention to detail and the fun He must have had creating it all. In addition, there the humongous redwood trees. Looking up at those redwoods reminds me of the grandeur of God and His efficient design. These giant trees have a unique structure that not only pulls water from its vast root system but draws it all the way up to the top of each tree. There are no pumps or irrigation pipes, just God’s perfect design of the tree. I love the look of those mountain ferns that God placed to bring that light green color to the canvas of His creation. I also love the mist that hovers over the lake in the morning. It reminds me not only of the glory-mist of God that filled the temple back in ancient times (see 2 Chronicles 5:13-14) but also the covering of God the Holy Spirit who is like a mist that hovers over and around our lives (see John 14:16-17, 26). Wow! Yes, WOW! Nature reveals God. Read again Romans 1:20.

The night sky here at Hume Lake is incredible! The heavens burst out with millions of twinkling stars. It takes my breath away. The vastness of God is seen. He is without limit or end. He is eternal. He is huge, grand, and all powerful. Oh, how awesome is He!

Not only in the vastness of the sky but in the littlest of His creations, there are lessons to be learned.

Proverbs 6:6-8 Go to the ant, O sluggard;consider her ways, and be wise.Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summerand gathers her food in harvest.

Yes, there is much to enjoy in the creation of our Creator. When we do, it broadens our perspective, and we get better connected to our Creator. He is an amazing God who created each of us (see Psalm 139:13-17). God loves us and desires to interact with us, His creation.

If you know Him take some time to observe nature and draw deeper in knowing Him. If you are unsure about how to connect with God or interact with Him why not go to church this Sunday. If you do not already have a church you attend, we would like to invite you to view or visit Neighborhood Church. We are a fun, welcoming church that loves God and seeks to live life His way. Each Sunday we study the Bible and have a great time together.  We would love for you to join us. Our website has all the information you need for times and locations of all our gatherings. You can also find us online at neighborhoodchurch.com. As well, if you would like to view any of our past worship gatherings or videos, visit our YouTube channel, or just search Neighborhood Church Cypress or Neighborhood Church Los Alamitos on their YouTube site.

Enjoying the God of creation along with you,
