Isaiah 60:1-3 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. 2 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. 3 And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
Like the prophet Isaiah declared the hope of Messiah, as he was given by God a glimpse of the coming of Jesus, we have hope. Jesus is the light of the world, the light of life. No issue or problem or financial mishap or accident or bully or relationship struggle or inner turmoil or adversary or hurtful word or any other darkness-maker is too thick that the light of Jesus can’t penetrate.
Jesus’ love is reconnecting…
Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jesus’ help is relaxing…
Matthew 11:28-30 28 Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
His power is rejuvenating…
Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things were created through Him and for Him.
His nature is restorative…
Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
His reign is revolutionary…
Matthew 6:33-34 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Jesus is the light of the world. This Christmas, embrace Him. Let His light bring hope to your life. Know Him more. Seek His will and His way…and it will be well with you.
