I can’t explain it, yet the reality of it was/is so real. I was studying for Sunday and the famous passage of God’s love was right there.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Now, there is a lot in these verses, but the phrase that jumped out at me was “the love of God.” We hear about God’s love and read over those passages all the time, but do we really get it? Do we really grasp the love of God? The Apostle Paul to the Believers inEphesussaid this:
Ephesians 3:16-19 I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge– that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
There is something to grasping and understanding this love…something we gain from the strain of trying to comprehend why God would love us so much. We read:
1 John 4:9-10 This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Loving-kindness is the love of God, this all-everything kind of love that is not conditional, ever flowing, and always protecting.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
King David said:
Psalm 63:3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
God’s love is amazing and those who dwell on it are wise.
Psalm 107:43 Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the LORD.

What hit me was that God, the Creator of the universe, All-powerful, Almighty, All-everything God would love me and go out of His way to put verse after verse to remind me that yes, God loves me and you! Wow!
